Roswell Studio, New Mexico, United States, 2018

This is my freshly painted, empty studio in Roswell. I had just arrived from Australia with my wife Robyn. I love the anticipation of starting a new body of work in a completely clean studio. I have worked in this particular studio many times over the years since 1987. Roswell has an amazing Artist-in-Residence Program that has supported me brilliantly over the years, all thanks to Donald Anderson’s patronage. The second photo is 3 months later working on a large painting based on Monument Valley.
