I moved from Sydney back to Melbourne and heard about an old school that had been converted into an artist’s residence. I think it was on Elm Street. It was just off the new highway. For cheap rent, I got a small apartment and an old wooden school room for my studio. There were about a half dozen other artists living on the grounds.
